Release Film Applications
Release films for electronic processing must be selected for cleanliness, release force and downstream operations. DY evaluates films for the contact surface and process requirements.
Certified Quality and Film Options
Class 1000 and Class 10000 cleanrooms reduce contamination that can affect product quality and yield. DY holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications and provides REACH and RoHS test reports to support global market requirements. Options include PET release films with release forces of 10–800 g and OPR release films without silicone coating. Quality checks are conducted before, during and after processing.
Cleanliness and Quality Assurance
Dust and suspended particles can cause defects or short circuits in electronic processing. DY selects appropriate antistatic additives for product requirements and processes films in Class 1000 and Class 10000 cleanrooms. Dust-removal rollers and static eliminators reduce dust adhesion and support production quality.
Continuous Improvement through Application Data
Working with customers, DY develops films for different requirements and builds an application database to improve yield and reduce costs. Ceramic slurry coating and lamination require flat films with suitable release. Our silicone-free OPR release films provide controlled thickness and flatness, fewer surface particles and wrinkles, and effective release for improved yield.
Case Study: A Japanese Electronics Manufacturer
A Japanese manufacturer initially used Japanese-made films and sought cost reductions through DY. Repeated development discussions and sample testing established confidence in material quality, and DY became its sole supplier. The films reduced production costs and improved yield. The customer subsequently entered the Apple mobile-phone supply chain.
