Choosing Anti Fog CPP Film for Clear Food Packaging
Find out when fogging occurs
Temperature changes between filling, sealing, refrigeration, and display can cause moisture to condense on the inside of a food pack and obscure the product. Anti fog CPP film is intended to improve how condensed water spreads across the film surface. Results depend on product moisture, temperature differences, package structure, and storage time. DY recommends identifying whether fogging begins after packing, during refrigeration, or after removal from the chiller.
Confirm the functional surface and pack conditions
Provide the food type, expected temperature, temperature cycling, food contact arrangement, package format, and display conditions. The anti fog surface must face the correct direction and remain compatible with printing, lamination, and sealing requirements. The clarity of a flat film sample alone does not establish how the finished pack will look on shelf.
Test anti fog and sealing performance together
Observe anti fog behavior under representative temperature, humidity, duration, and product conditions. Check haze, appearance, seal integrity, feeding, and any applicable food contact requirements at the same time. Numerical claims about sealing, COF, or duration of performance require official specifications and representative test results.
How DY helps investigate fogging
With photos of the current pack, usage conditions, and machine information, DY can discuss candidate anti fog CPP grades and a sample trial. If a trial pack still fogs locally or seals inconsistently, review surface orientation, moisture in the package, sealing settings, and the cold chain process before deciding whether the material needs to change. OEM/ODM feasibility is assessed against the functional target and trial results.
Information for an inquiry
Send the food category, package photos, film width and gauge, contact surface, filling and sealing method, display temperature, intended shelf life, and current fogging pattern. A side by side observation using the intended chilled display conditions is more useful than a general request for a guaranteed anti fog duration.
